Mincatec Energy announces that it has obtained DESP (European Pressure Equipment Directive) certification for its MHYT (Metal HYdride Tank) tanks, designed for solid hydrogen storage.
This certification confirms the compliance of an already proven product and is in line with the company’s industrial development plan. It now paves the way for large-scale marketing in Europe and internationally, while strengthening Mincatec Energy’s position as a leading French player in solid hydrogen storage.
Operating at ambient temperature (20°C) and low pressure (10 bar), the MHYT tank offers a very high level of intrinsic safety, with extremely low leakage of around 0.2 g of hydrogen per year. Its modular and compact design facilitates its integration into a wide variety of applications, both mobile and stationary.
Obtaining DESP certification is a natural step in our roadmap: to develop safe, high-performance hydrogen solutions that can be immediately integrated into our customers’ industrial projects. It also confirms the solidity of the progress we have made and strengthens our partners’ confidence in the next phases of deployment.
